Their "standard" plugs are among the best you can buy for the money. I enjoy using it with my portable music player. Nonetheless, if I had a larger budget, I would choose a model in the $5,000-$7,000 range. These are better than most in terms of sound quality, isolation, and cord thickness. Yet, with only $1,500, there's no reason to put it in the player. Benefits include: Quite pleasing to the ear; solid bass. You can hear the metro, so the soundproofing is really decent. Earbuds come in three sizes to accommodate a wide range of aural dimensions. Avoid making repetitive noises that strain the ear. Ill effects: I'm terrified of severing the delicate cable at the top of my headphones. Personally, I find it annoying since the wires are different lengths for the left and right ears; I prefer it when the wire is centered in the ear. But, some electrical tape will solve this problem in no time.
