I am very picky when it comes to choosing a water bottle for my kid because it has a cap (I thought) so it doesn't leak. Every day my child comes home with a wet backpack. It's blocked, but the inner thin rubber gasket under the cover keeps falling off. I understand you want it cleaned to prevent mold growth but it just doesn't stay on all day. I even tried filling less liquid to see if that would affect the filling during use, but it didn't matter. Nice design but I have to throw it away because it's not reliable. I bought this before school started and fell out the return window. I should have stopped at Contigo.
