My mother-in-law has trouble carrying heavy objects and struggles with the heavy weight of a full-size glass blender. She's used it to make mixed drinks herself, and she's so happy she can do it anywhere without struggling with weight restrictions or even standing on the kitchen counter next to an outlet. One button operation helps as she is not very good at managing devices and does not speak English. The blender comes with two glass jars and a nice sports lid that allows you to just drop it on the glass jar and take it with you. It charges via a standard micro USB cable. So if you have a USB rechargeable battery, you can use it to charge it. A few caveats: It can blend regular ice cubes, but like regular sized blenders you have to make sure you add too much ice and enough liquid or it will automatically shut off to prevent sticking. Since the blender is small, the amount should be proportionally smaller compared to large blenders. I've found that when I'm on the verge of too much ice cream, tapping it to stop it helps and the blender doesn't turn off. Another caveat is that when cleaning, you need to be careful to close the USB charging port cover, and the instructions say not to submerge the base in water. I usually only wash the top of the beveled base and that's enough for me to clean it.
