Not so sturdy - storage and home organization
I've read some reviews that said these racks/hooks aren't that strong. And now I believe them. I installed them straight into a 2 by 4 boom to hold a 40 lb kayak. Despite using long screws that are fully tightened, the hooks can easily be bent from side to side. It's anything but rock hard. I hung the kayak on the hooks and he is holding them (for now). I felt the need to put a trash can under the kayak in case the hooks fail and the kayak falls over. I'm a bit fat and that would be fine.
