So I learned a trick from other people that the best way to use them is to 1) put a mattress pad on top and then 2) put the first sheet on top. Then 3) place the SECOND mattress pad on top of that sheet and 4) place another sheet on top. So if your baby spills or has an accident in the middle of the night, simply peel off the top two layers (sheet and protective sheet) and you've got a clean sheet! Allows you to get your baby back to bed so quickly without the headache of finding and changing another sheet and mattress pad. Believe me, it will save you sleep! Just throw dirty sheets in the washing machine and take care of them in the morning. These protectors are great and work amazing. Highly recommended!
