The lights work and the two strings I bought were easy to attach to each other. I was unable to plug both in to my timer box because the plug was too wide, so I was stuck with attaching one end to another and making it one long strand. If you have the old school timer box where you push the pegs down, two strands of these lights won’t fit next to each other. Here’s my major annoyance: the solid lights are the last setting on the remote on the plug. So, if you use them outside and use a timer, every time they turn back on, they reset to the first setting, which happens to be seizure-inducing flashing. It defeats the purpose of having a timer turn them on at night because someone has to go outside and switch the lights from insane flashing to solid lights. The more I think about it, the more irritated I get. Now it’s become too cold to think about replacing all the lights with something different, but you better believe I want to return these for the hassle they are creating. I hope others read this review and learn from my mistakes!
