Review on πŸ”’ Enhance Privacy with One-Way Perforated Vinyl Window Film - Adhesive Glass Wrap Roll (1ft x 54 inches) by Mariah Garrett

Revainrating 4 out of 5

RARE GREAT PRICE FROM AMAZON. Ideal for the storm door of the front door.

There was already LVT 95 reflective foil on the interior entrance door, but it is outdated, not cut properly, it is time to replace it. I chose this role because it is perfect for the glass area. I just had to cut it in half because they are two separate pieces of glass. The top glass is lowered (with integrated screen in the door). The bottom plate is fixed. The film applied easily once I set my sights on it, but the leaves were relatively small. Big leaves can be more complex. The hardest part was separating the paper from the adhesive backing. When the product arrived I couldn't remember if it needed to be placed inside or outside. I put one half in and one half out for comparison and decided I liked the white side out better. This front door is on a covered porch so it is protected from the weather and direct sun. My only concern is pollen build up in the perforations and if dogs will scratch them. In terms of visibility, it doesn't seem to make any difference whether you're looking through the black side or the white side when looking inside. Whether you look at the black side or the white side, you can see the same amount of detail on the porch. I just didn't like the white paneling in the house at night. If you stick it on the outside glass with the white side out and the black adhesive side in, you can add another reflective or tint film inside. Having left a piece of aging tinting film on the sliding glass I see this as a good viable option. It doesn't distract too much from the outside and the outward-facing white perforation provides additional privacy indoors from the porch. I love it. If you are considering this product for windows or doors, remember that the black side is the sticky side. I think as long as there is some protection from straight elements it seems like you can mount it indoors or outdoors depending on what you want to see. And it seems like it can successfully "duplicate" with another film on the opposite side of the glass.
