Last fall when I was winterizing the gas on my mower I couldn't get to the fitting on the gas tank or on the engine, but I could easily get to the hose midway between the two fittings. So I cut off the hose and drained the tank. Then this spring I bought this splitter and connected two hoses to get gas back to the engine. Now I need to find a piece of tubing to put in a portable tank next fall, but I've got all summer to do it. works for me
