I had an old gas bottle from which I removed all "protective elements". The result was a straight tube with a slit through which I had to pour gas. Every time it's a mess and I couldn't close the spout so the gas kept evaporating, smelled like cars etc. The new cans were no better than the old ones with "protective properties" and I don't want to pay $25 and more for another can. I found this product at Revain and decided to give it a try. Glad you did! It fits perfectly into the threads of my old can (the yellow ring worked for me) and is absolutely tight. I added the extension tube because I need to fill the pressure washer which is mounted quite high in the bed of my truck and has a cover over the bed. The hose allows you to fill without having to hold the bottle high above the pressure washer tank. The yellow threaded cap keeps gas vapors inside, and the small yellow vent allows for expansion and pouring without gurgling or spilling. occurs with a non-ventilated glass. Removal to fill the glass is easy and the inserts appear to be well made and should not dislodge or move with use (causing the glass to leak. This happened to my old spout too). One of the best purchases I've made. I highly recommend this nose. It's nice to be able to fill up my cars without having old rags handy to wipe up the gas that's guaranteed to spill out of my old spout. *** I have not received any compensation for this review.
