I bought these for a classroom to block sunlight for a projector use. They are made from a fabric with the back sprayed with the blackout coating. They do fully block the light. They feel lightweight because there’s only only layer of fabric. They don’t feel too stiff and have flexibility. They were easy to modify to customize them for the size of window we had. I joined 4 panels together and hemmed them to length. Be aware that when sewing, any pin holes from the needle through the fabric will leave pinprick holes in the blackout coating which will be visible like dots of light . This is not an issue unless you make a mistake when sewing. There was a good choice of colors and this was great value for the money.
