Contacted customer service and sent a new replacement adapter. The new adapter works perfectly. I'm changing my rating to a 4. I bought this charger because there are 3 HP laptops in our family that have similar adapters. And shortly after using this charger, we noticed that the touchpad wasn't responding properly. It took some time to realize that these issues only occur when using this item. But I'm pretty sure the charger I received is defective because I can reproduce the problem with any of our 3 laptops (different models) simply by plugging in this charger. To be more specific about the issue, it appears to affect the sensitivity of the (hardware) touchpad, making it extremely difficult to control the laptop while charging. The settings have not changed. Otherwise it charges our batteries normally (hence the 2 stars).
