This scanner is more advanced than any I have ever used. It penetrates deeper into the vehicle system (depending on the vehicle's implementation of the OBD2 protocols) to give the mechanic or professional mechanic more information than traditional scanners. The automatic VIN detection is great (although it may not work on older vehicles. You can enter it manually if you need to). The 123X can even instruct the vehicle to run a self-test and return the resulting stats (on some vehicles that support this). The scanner can connect to the network via the built-in WiFi to search for additional information about error codes. You can also save reports of your results (locally and in the cloud) for later troubleshooting. The software can be updated online and you can even purchase additional features over the air. Overall I think the value of LAUNCH CRP 123X is great.
