One arrived broken and didn't work at all but for the price I was willing to give it up. It's been less than 3 months since I've had them and one started leaking battery oil(!) and the other started encrusting with battery acid. These batteries are from Costco, good quality and have had no problems with other devices. Not sure what the problem is - maybe because there is a switch? Very disappointing and will be looking for a refund or replacement. The manufacturer's guarantee is 180 days. But it's better to have one well-made timer than four bad ones.
