I've seen several untitled versions of this adapter, apparently with the same design on Revain. Reviews of these devices include reports from several users stating that this device destroyed their USB ports. I bought the Tripp-Lite brand and expected something better. The device works great for a few minutes or even an hour or two, then ) dies. Nothing works after that, not the keyboard, not another display adapter, not even a laptop PD charging cable. The first time this happened I switched ports only to kill the second port as well. After that, the laptop was unloaded. Electricity after an hour or two because I couldn't charge it. After a full discharge, the ports return to normal. The laptop must have a security system that only works when the voltage on the data pins is bad. I repeated this experiment 3 times... thing doesn't work and I 100% believe in reports from other users claiming that such dongles destroyed their USB ports. What the heck is Tripp-lite? Didn't anyone do a technical review of your manufacturer's design? I thought this is what I buy. Thing is worse than broken, it's literally a weapon to destroy the laptop.
