Food waste is one of my favorite problems, which is why we always have jam-packed freezers. I've been a bit lazy using zippered leftovers to put in the freezer. Besides being easy I also didn't want to use our expensive branded vacuum freezer bags as it seems that once they are frozen we go in the freezer to use these products for a couple of days and another expensive pack to eat. . Well, nothing more, there are many such bags in rolls, and they cost very little for such a length. The patterned side of the bags will stretch and stick to the food just like branded bags and the seal will hold tight. I had no trouble sucking them either. The raspberries, rhubarb and zucchini are ready so we're saving what we can and I can't wait for the delicious bread and maybe the raspberry rhubarb wine this winter!
