Our son has problems with standard pens because he is still working on his fine motor skills. As for pencils, his teacher gave him a rubber accessory last year. This year, when the school uses an iPad 90% of the time, I bought him this pen so he can write and draw. It works great with the iPad's touchscreen and even better, it's perfect for his fingers. There were two pieces in the package - blue and pink. So far I've only given him blue. I keep the second one in reserve in case the first one loses, breaks or wears out, but so far so good! It also had spare tips that we haven't needed yet.
