This is a quick overview. I'll have to remember to come back in a year to see how it holds up. Basically, I've never used such a good brush. I've been grilling for years (decades) and have had everything from cheap cheap brushes to the $12-13 kinds that come in deluxe grill tool kits etc and the best part is they don't usually do it all well clean or last a long time. They clog, wear out, and become sticky. You also learn to "fix" a lot of things because you expect things to be cleaner than they really are. The typical scraper edge usually only fits the toughest debris, and they often have notches that do not fit or fit between the grates. Update 30 Mar 17 Had to start it. The bristles hold up great but I used it once and the handle broke. It's heavily shorted now (damn surprised) but still usable, just can't get that much leverage. I preheat the grate so as not to scrape off dried and hardened dirt. I used force but it wasn't enough to break it. I would definitely buy them again as the brush is so good I can still use it. One of the big advantages was that it's so effective because the bristles are nice and the angle makes it feel more natural to use. Not as good with a shorter handle, but if it was one of my previous brushes and this happened I'd just throw it out. Update 7/2016. I haven't toasted as much as I wanted since writing this but I've used it about 30 more times and it's holding up well. Ergonomics paired with efficiency let me confirm my first impression. A smaller brush loses bristles, wears out and clogs. Little did I know my favorite heating brush was in this pack. I thought it was another vendor who threw it in the box. Another small bonus. I've used it about 5 times so it still looks brand new. It may be premature to say, but it's far more effective than anything I've tried. Because of its design, it runs between the bars of the grill, and because of its mechanical design, you can apply a lot more force with less effort - a lot more leverage than a regular square (or slightly rectangular) straight-handled head. Basically you get a lot of square areas covered with denser bristles and by square area I mean the surface area and the distance between the grids. Dirt dissolves faster and more thoroughly. If this thing has an average lifespan, then this is a much better tool.
