Review on πŸ”Œ ASUS GT-AX11000 WiFi Router in Sleek Black for Enhanced Connectivity by Haissam Abo Fahd ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

I took Asus RT-AC87U as a replacement, I'm satisfied. It is clear that this router is not for everyone (who are interested in such pieces of iron, it is interesting to deal with it and have something to load it with). Its power and functionality are redundant for most, as well as its price.

Pros
  • I have had this router for about a week now, until I can confirm even part of the negative about it. An excellent router, in principle, I counted on what I got. Immediately uploaded the latest firmware from the Asus website. Works great via cable from a PC at 2.5 Gb / s (router and network port - 2.5 Gb / s, specially pulled the cable over 25 m.). Well, the rest of the devices via cable without question at 1 Gb / s (TV, set-top box, NAS). For NAS (QNAP D2 PRO) enabled 802.3ad port aggregation (on NAS and router). The coverage is about the same as that of Asus RT-AC87U, but the second 5 GHz band has even better coverage (channels 100-140), in the back rooms and corners of a 4-room apartment, the signal is "excellent", almost like next to a router, connection speed (smartphone) drops from the ideal 866 Mbps to only 400-520 Mbps, on the first range in the far rooms the signal drops to "good" and the connection speed drops to 320 Mbps or even less than 200 Mbps (although next to the router there is also a maximum of 866) . On the bands 2.4 and 5-1 I hung all the previous devices (more than 20 pieces), and on 5-2 only smartphones: my own and my wife (as often used to the maximum at all points in the apartment). It's strange, but as if all old devices are better to stick to 2.4 / 5.0, although I set everything to the maximum in the WiFi settings (AX chips), I thought there would be glitches, especially on 2.4. It does not overheat, at least I don’t feel it in any way, except that the top cover is slightly warm. Morally, I was ready for all sorts of dances with a tambourine such as third-party firmware, changing the region, etc., but as it turned out, everything is fine without it.
Cons
  • Well, except that it is very large, it barely fits on the shelf and the antennas protrude a little outward, because. it is desirable to move it away from the wall.

Pros below: Easy to set up, data transfer speed. Different cons: I assumed that the transmission power through wi-fi would be more powerful
