I picked up this guy hoping to get some slow motion and off road runs on my Nikon D5300 and I liked the price. Structurally, the device is surprisingly solid. The suction cup is INCREDIBLY strong, enough for me to mount my GoPro on the outside of my car and not have to bother with it. The camera mount itself is a little finicky at first, but once you've screwed it in partially, the plastic thumbscrew will hold even a mid-weight DSLR fairly well. However, I have noticed that it tends to vibrate and some recordings come out shaky. Perhaps this is due to a combination of a very stiff suspension and a lot of stress on the mount itself. On the Corvette C5, you'll be rocked by a mid-range camera. Something like a soap dish or a small video camera definitely works better. That being said, the footage I've gotten so far is certainly not terrible and is usually easily fixed with stabilization software, so it will definitely stay in my car. For the price it really couldn't be better.
