Review on πŸ”Œ Leviton Decora Smart Wi-Fi Fan Speed Controller DW4SF-1BW - White by Christie Santos

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If I use applications, I don't need intelligent fan control.

As does its interface. Part of a whole house light switch renovation project. Upgrade the entire house from construction company switches to a combination of smart and silly switches. List of purchased / used models (cheat sheet) Smart Switches ===================================== == ======== ===================Leviton D26HD-2RW : Decora Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer (2nd generation) Leviton DD00R-DLZ : Decora companion for D26HD and DDL06-1LZ in 3-way app version Leviton D215P-2RW: Decora Smart Wi-Fi Mini Switch (2nd generation) [1]Leviton D23LP-2RW: Decora Smart Wi-Fi Mini Dimmer (2nd generation ) [2 ] Leviton DW4SF-1BW : Decora Smart 4-speed fan controller [3] Non-smart (stupid) switches ====================== === = ========================================== ===== == Leviton 5601-2WM: Decora single pole rocker switch, quiet switch [4] Leviton DDL06-1LZ: Decora rocker switch, 3 position, quiet switch, digital dimmer Leviton DD00R-DLZ: Decora companion for D26HD and DDL06-1LZ in 3 strips -Applications Leviton 5685 -2W : Decora Plus Rocker, SPDT, Center Off, Contact supported [5] Leviton LTB60-1 LZ: Decora 1800W, Incandescent/20A, RC, 1HP, Preset ellter timer 10-20-30-60 minutes [6]Lutron MSCL-OP153MH: motion sensor and dimmable (presence sensor) [7 ]Specials== ===== =============== ====================== ==== ======= ================= =====Leviton R12-80700-2w : blank field to toggle [8]Other Notes === ========= ================= ================== === ========== =================== =Leviton IPF01-1LZ : fan speed controller, not used, DW4SF is used instead. Used to turn floor lamp on and off [2] Used for a night light [3] I had this and a Leviton IPF01-1LZ IllumaTech 1.5A Quiet Step with preset fan speed control, but I liked this one a lot more, I use it They even put it where I wanted a "dumb" fan speed controller.[4] Used to replace toggle switches that are not supposed to be smart.[5] Used to turn on/off the fan in the bathroom.[6] Used to turn fan on and off in bathroom pantries where there is no light and your hands are likely to be busy. their decorative equivalent.

Pros
  • No Hub: Control your ceiling fans from anywhere with the My Leviton app - choose from 4 fan speeds or turn the fan off. Not to control ceiling fan lighting kits - requires optional dimmer DW6HD
Cons
  • Color not required
