Good quality but uncomfortable fit

I bought these shoes to use as practice shoes for ballroom (and sometimes latin) and ballroom dancing. Overall they are good quality and good deals. I put my shoes on rather roughly and after a few weeks there is still no sign of wear. The forefoot is very flexible which makes it a dream to Latina dance in. On the other hand, I don't like the total lack of shank and arch support, which makes ballroom dancing in these shoes difficult unless the shoes are laced up. very cozy. The size seems a little strange. I usually wear an EU size 37 (which is oddly more US size) for both standard and street shoes, and I went with the 7/38 option because (like many people) I usually wear one for the socks Choose training shoe size. . In terms of width and length, this choice seems like a good one; However, the shoe is very roomy in the middle and the lacing is as tight as it gets, but still not enough for a snug fit. This was very odd for me as I have high arches and it's usually difficult to tie shoes find that have enough space in this area. Therefore, it is difficult to recommend whether or not to stick to the typical shoe size.
