My husband and daughter call these my "stupid hippie pants,” but I adore them! The high waist isn’t binding, and I can fold it down if it gets hot or uncomfortable. They’re so soft and feather-light, and were perfect for working at home in my upstairs (warm) office all summer.The wide, high waist is very stretchy and forgiving: I’m 5’7”, and the L/XL fit well at my current 145 lbs, as well as the 175 I was when I bought them. They’re not droopy or saggy, either; they actually hug my flat-ish butt and make it look a bit curvy! At 145lbs now, I could probably wear the S/M, but they’d probably be unacceptably short.The elastic legs are my only minor complaint: they sit above my ankles, but they’re short and tight enough that they tend to get hung on my calves when I sit down then stand up again, and my ankles and calves are pretty skinny. At some point, I’m hoping to try removing the elastic and sewing the holes back up to make a straight cuff.I have both the navy with elephants and the aqua paisley, and the fabric and sizing are similar.
