I was very happy to order them. I love all my Nathan products. I feel like you have to grip the mask a little too hard to use the hydration slot - basically for the valve to fully close over your mouth. Not only do you touch the mouth area of the mask and possibly soil your hands with your hands, the valve also does not always sit in such a way that it offers the best protection against germs. When using other non-valved masks I can grab the bridge of the nose to pull aside to drink or simply open an ear loop, with these you are full mouth. (and there are no ear loops in the design, it wraps completely around the head with the ear holes but not the loops). I liked the concept but I don't think it offers the best protection.
