They left a piece of plastic blocking the flow of water which I had to remove with a knife. Then the straw was too long to pull out because it was resting on the ground, so I had to cut it shorter with scissors. Then, in addition to water, the straw absorbed so much air that I had to pull it out with difficulty. Then, fully closed, it spread all over my pocket. Shipping it back, finding the packaging, and sending it back for a refund takes longer than the purchase is worth. So I just threw it away after a week. I hope this review will save you time and money.
