I used them for the first time yesterday and I had a hard time trimming my husband's fine hair. I think this is how I hold them, so I'll try holding them again like in the photo and see if that works. I was so unimpressed and disappointed with the cost. I figured I'd find good ones for that price but I'm not sure. I couldn't cut his hair, but I sure did cut my finger, so at least I know the tip is sharp. UPDATE: After watching a few videos I realized I was holding these scissors incorrectly. I was so used to using right handed scissors that I didn't realize left handed people would work differently. So in the end they are sharp and work well after a period of getting used to them.
