I've had West Elm Tencel sheets for the last few years so this review is more of a comparison. I have a 15" thick mattress with a zipper pad (about 1-2" thick). I chose these reeds for the deep pockets and more threads (600 verses vs 300 WE verses). Take out the sheets if the pack was definitely heavier. The first thing I noticed was that these sheets didn't feel smooth like satin and they weren't icy like my WE sheets. They look more like a standard fuzzy textured cotton sheet but have the sheen of satin sheets. My wife liked the icy feel of the WE sheets, so she's not a fan, and I like these new sheets because my body temperature is more consistent (the WE sheets were so cold I was able to wrap myself tightly in them, during the night too started to sweat, turn over, cool down only to catch a cold, wrap up again and sweat). I like the deep pockets and the added elastic straps at the corners to keep the sheet in place. What I don't like are the pillowcases: they are too big (my WE were tight) so you get creases, they don't have an inner crease to keep the care in place and make it so that the pillow doesn't shines and the lip is everted (folded inward, not outward like the upper leaf). Overall, they are not as luxurious as WE, but are 2/3 cheaper and offer several advantages.
