Just so you know where I'm from, I replaced a cheap $13 Neweer mic boom with this one. I wanted a Rode PS1 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001D7UYBO) or Blue Compass (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078MLBGRM) mic arm, but they were a bit pricey. more than I wanted to spend. I figured they were all about the same, so I bought a cheap Neweer (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DFUEZZI) which turned out to be very similar to any other I'd ever used. They were excellent at their jobs. Then I recently saw this one for $60 which was very similar to the Rode but half the price so I bought it and MAN I'm glad I did. I didn't really realize how light and crappy the Neweer was until I unpacked this one. You can see the size difference in the picture I've attached to this review. The Neweer is much smaller and the extra range from this Innogear is very good. I also like the fact that the springs are internal and they kinda muffle the noise as they move so they don't make the "rolling noise" that the cheaper one does when you move them. This moves silently. It's a bit stiffer than the Neweer, but I like it; although I think I could adjust it with a Phillips screwdriver if I wanted to. Check: No, the hardness isn't really adjustable so it might be an issue for some people, but I really like it. The only thing I wish is that the base of the table clamp is plastic rather than cast alloy. Metal like Neweer. So far it seems solid enough not to be worth a full star, so I'll give it a five star rating, but if they made it with a steel or die-cast aluminum base with a nylon insert for smooth turning, I would do it d be a little happier. All in all, this is an excellent microphone arm and you definitely can't complain about the price. I haven't directly compared it to the Rode PSA1 or Blue Compass as I haven't owned either but I can't think of a better arrow than this, especially after using Neweer and others. cheap in the same class for many years.
