Review on ๐Ÿ’ก Enhance Your Makeup Routine with the 8X Magnifying Lighted Makeup Mirror - Chrome Finish, Locking Suction Mount, and Ball Joint Swivel by Cindy Payne

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for all types of corrections, but not suitable for applying make-up

The very high magnification and narrow screen width make this mirror ideal for detecting subtle skin issues (e.g. locating unwanted hairs otherwise invisible to the naked eye while examining a close-up of a cut or defect. (Warning: 10x magnification on any skin should be intimidating. (Remember reading Gulliver's Travels? Not for the faint of heart. I saw things I never thought would sit on my face until I saw them magnified 10x, things that actually made me gasp out loud in horror.. You get the overall picture you want, the limited field of view of this mirror can be far from ideal (it's perfect for applying to a focused area - let's say perfect mascara; or for all sorts of corrections to your face or make-up that require a lot of attention it on a very limited area requiring faces (eg. to catch blemishes from eyeshadow or mascara that fall unnoticed on your cheeks, or to emphasize overly harsh eyeliner lines that might benefit from a light smudge). I attached this mirror to the mirror above the sink. It's lightweight and very small (6-7 inches in diameter and portable, so good for traveling). I leave the B&B cream undiluted and go out in public with two inch hairs sprouting indiscriminately from my chin. (Where in God's name did these things come from?) For makeup APPLICATION, I'm now looking for a much larger (laptop/laptop) lighted makeup mirror (one that has three sides and sits on a table). For this general makeup application, a smaller magnification of 5x or 7x seems ideal.

Pros
  • Suction cup for a secure hold. Suction cup 2.75 inches in diameter.
Cons
  • Upgradable
