This pen is small and flat. I use it in combination with the Smallrig 2174 monitor mount for best results. I mount it on a Sony A7iii CCS2645 frame and as mentioned it's short enough to use the viewfinder. I prefer the bolt-on grip for safety, but most bolt-on grips don't fit in my camera bag once attached. This one does. You will sacrifice some comfort for the small size, and a more traditional big grip will be more comfortable on a heavy rig.
