These pads are as strong as their double compound counterparts but are better suited to black anodized BMX discs. Too much power for park/flat rides, but decent stopping power for street/traffic. When set with a slight tip, they lay down well and adhere well enough without squeaking or scratching the edge. I recommend removing the shine from the rubber braking surface with sandpaper before assembly. Check them (and the rim surface) for dirt from time to time and they should last quite a while. Note. The double compound versions are better suited to chromed/machined rim surfaces.
