Don't neglect the description "compression". If you have large feet/ankles then these socks are technically fine for you, but just like socks not designed for your feet, they are. I have socks that are not as big as these and they fit better. Worst of all, the ankle becomes very compressed and cuts off blood circulation in the leg. You might be able to endure this for a few hours, but at the end of the day your foot will feel like it has fallen asleep and you will feel an uncomfortable tightness in the sock.
