It made it comfortable to carry my granddaughter.

I wound up having elbow tendonitis from carrying my granddaughter as she got bigger.
This made it so much easier to carry her around and did not cause any hip problems for me because it seemed to distribute the weight evenly. She loves grandma's "saddle" and plays giddyup when she's on it!
