My cockatoo has always liked this toy. But they changed the design and used fibrous, non-digestible nylon instead of jute. According to my vet, if swallowed, this nylon can become lodged in the intestinal tract, causing obstruction and possible death. Also, before noticing the change in design, I flushed their old water down the drain like I had for years. Nylon fibers clogged my sink and drain. Because nylon doesn't break, traditional drain cleaners didn't work. Now I have to call a plumber to disassemble the trap.
