Buy more as a gift! I can't wear cashmere, wool feels like steel wool to me. These socks don't look like wool (80% wool, 13% cotton, 7% polyester). I have a lot of hiking socks but I needed the perfect weight, they are great, don't sweat my feet, aren't too tight at the top, and they stay up, don't slip. The heel seam is very thin and unobtrusive. I have a broken ankle. I am wearing a medical walking shoe that does not support weight. It is recommended to wear socks. The first day in a free sock from swelling, my feet were sweaty. Rough! I looked at Revain for socks that would fit after a 4 week break with a swollen ankle. I can wear these socks. I can sleep with them in a boot (yes, I have to wear a boot to sleep). As my ankle is swollen I may not wear socks as the top may leave a small constricted area but everything is perfect about these socks. I'm 5ft 7in, 130lbs, size 8 shoes. You need it!
