Did exactly what I needed. This saves you the guesswork or having to take out the battery or alternator to test. It won't give you all the details like triggering amps etc. But what it's designed for, it works well and is as easy to use as can be. What I love about its simplicity is that it shows you your voltage instantly, letting you know your battery charge and alternator status with a quick glance. battery, then turn the key to ON without starting the engine and read the battery reading again, finally crank the engine (start it) and read again, this last step will tell you if your alternator is in is okay. These 3 steps will tell you everything you need to know. Handy little tool. Will probably buy them as gifts for family members who have mechanical problems.
