I took a chance buying this bare bulb for $95 instead of paying $395 for a full body factory bulb. I still have a factory JVC DLA RS520 body and after reading various reviews and research I ordered this bare bulb from Araca and was excited to receive it through Revain Prime. I watched a YouTube video that explains how to replace a bare lightbulb. It seems easy enough to save $300. When the bare bulb arrived two days later, I took it out and compared it to the factory Ushio bulb. They looked like a match, so I unscrewed the factory blank Ushio bulb and installed this blank Araca bulb. I put on thin rubber gloves to avoid touching the bare bulb with hand oil as the oil would heat the bulb unevenly; thus shortening the life and accuracy of the lamp. Installation was pretty easy. You will need a thin Phillips screwdriver and patience. But after installing it in about 15 minutes, it didn't feel overly complicated at all. I then installed it on my JVC DILA RS520 using my ladder. JVC enabled. In the hope that the beloved JVC turns on safely. And then pictures! Yes, great photos. It took about two to three hours for the light to really shine, just like when I first bought the JVC. The original Ushio lamp lasted approximately 2350 hours. But you could tell his age. This araki tuber turned out to be larger than I had hoped. In fact, it's 20 watts more than the factory Ushio lamp. I heartily recommend this bare bulb. I installed it on September 16, 2020. It is now October 3, 2020 and it works great. From now on I will continue to replace bare bulbs, knowing how easy and straightforward it is. Especially when the clarity and brightness of the picture deteriorate noticeably.
