After 21 years the plastic hood latch handle on my 1998 Honda Civic EX finally broke. I figured I'd just pull the remaining plastic stump to pop the hood, no big deal. Well there is a better way and this is it! Supplied with a durable aluminum handle, set screw and Allen key. There are no instructions in the kit, but logic should tell you what to do - cut the plastic stump without damaging the metal core, put the thing on, tighten and DONE. The included hex wrench was a bit too small as it couldn't securely tighten the set screw without slipping. So I just used the one that fits best from my own set of allen keys. Holds aggressively and opens the hood just right.
