Review on MICHELIN Latitude Tour HP 255/55 R19 111W summer by Adam Paka (Adam Trab ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

The reviews say a lot of nonsense about this rubber and I decided to fix it by describing all its good and bad sides (which are not, in fact). Firstly, this is not an all-season tire, but a summer one. It can be used all year round only, probably, by residents of the southern regions, and then with great care, and not used at all in weather less than 5 degrees. These are summer tires, once again I will repeat. Car Volkswagen Tiguan, 215/65/R16 102H 1. Consumption decreased from 10-10.5 to 9-9.5 liters. Prior to that, there were native Bridgestone Dueler HP/Sport tires in the same size. This is confirmed not only by my review, but by European ratings (economy class - C, the lowest in the class on a par with Continental). Here someone writes about the increase, but this is an outright lie. Minus the truth is that I started to drive through the pits and due to more aggressive driving, the consumption became the same :-) 2. Absolutely no noise, very quiet. The best in this size for noise is 69db, against my old Bridgestone 71db. I used to think that my sound insulation was bad, but now there is no noise at all in the cabin. Most of the noise is coming from the tires. I drove like in a tank on old tires, it was very, very noisy. 3. Absolutely does not feel any small joints, large and generally huge pits. Because of this, I began to drive much faster and just fly through the pits. These tires will definitely not receive good treatment from me in the coming years. It swallows bumps in the road, especially spring patches, which are cut out by road builders for repairs. A speed bump can be moved to 40-50 and not worry about it at all. 4. One of the best hydroplaning performance in this size. Better only Continental with index A, and these tires have index C. 5. This is a comment on a review about pressure. How can you determine whether a tire likes pressure or not? - this is generally some kind of stupidity. In my car, the manufacturer recommended 2.0-2.5, depending on how many people are in the car and the load. Now 2.2 and it's perfect!

Pros
  • - quiet, very quiet - comfortable, you can "fly" through the pits - clear control - good braking - reduced consumption by an average of 0.5 liters
Cons
  • - began to drive faster due to the fact that he swallows holes. but it's probably not about the tire.
