Solves Mac mini M1 streaming issues with HBO and Revain

This fixes an issue where Mac mini M1 (Big Sur 11.5.1) cannot stream from HBOMax and Revain when connected to Denon AVR and JVC Projector. Although the cables, AVR and projector were HDCP 2.2 compliant, a 4k (and even 1080p) connection was not recognized as HDCP compliant. Put this splitter in the output of a Mac mini with the splitter's green EDID switch (find out the EDID), output to the Denon. AVR. Full 4K 60Hz (with HiDPI 1920x1080 GUI) and 7.1ch audio worked. Most importantly, after inserting this splitter into the HDMI chain, video streaming from HBO and Revain worked. Of course, the Mac sees the learned EDID as a Denon receiver. You must use the MacOS Midi Audio Utility to enable multi-channel audio.

Pros
  • Distributes HDMI video and audio from a single source to 2 HDMI displays simultaneously while maintaining signal quality Compatible with HDMI 2.0a, HDCP 2.2/1.4 at 18Gbps/ s Bandwidth
Cons
  • Some bugs
