Well protects the LCD, but.
I think this product is great for field work where it can get a bit dusty or wet. Otherwise I don't like being inside. I often check my shot to make sure the shot looks how I want it, and it's a little annoying having to open and close it between frames. That's why I carry it in my pocket when I'm outside, otherwise there are better solutions and after years of not protecting the LCD, you can do without it. Just keep your camera in your bag when not in use and you're all set.
