These fit pretty well and I would consider the sizing accurate. But do size up if you are on the edge because there is little stretch in these. My husband's calves are too wide to wear high socks so these were a good solution for him. Yes, they do leak a little if water rises above the ankle but it's still better than normal socks which will have you squishing in seconds. He combines these with his water shoes and is much more comfortable, especially when the water is colder. He doesn't stay immersed in these but goes through water when fishing or on his kayak which has been successful for keeping him dryer.
