Prevents spongy dirt from hitting the car.
The bucket guard removes dirt and stones from the sponge. This avoids scratches on the vehicle paintwork. Before using the bucket protector, my sponge was always black and dirty. If you wipe the sponge up and down, it looks almost new. The dirt is at the bottom of the bucket, not on the sponge or glove.
