I bought this apron to paint. I paint in oils and travel a lot with my supplies so every time he either accidentally gets my clothes dirty or puts on unsightly "painting clothes". Luckily, this apron is made from durable, thick canvas and is wide and long enough so you don't have to worry about splashes from whatever you're doing hitting you. I particularly like the shoulder straps instead of the neck - they put less strain on the neck, especially when you're stowing something in a bag. The straps are very long so you can adjust how high and how tight you want them to sit. Once fitted you have a nice back closure that is always the right size instead of having to tie the straps every time. My only criticism of these straps is that after you adjust everything they are still very long (for me they drag across the floor) but it's easy enough to cut off the excess.
