Review on NU Aqua Platinum Drinking Filtration by Alison Herrier

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good affordable system with decent instructions

Although the manufacturer calls it 7-speed, other similar systems call it 11-speed. This is because one of the filters has 5 steps/passes. Actually a pretty nice bonus. Video instructions are very helpful, assembly took 30-45 minutes. One problem is that neither the video nor the paper instructions say to seal or wrap the 2 quick connect corner connectors on the reverse osmosis membrane body itself. After waiting for some time and draining many times, this section eventually leaked, requiring it to be disassembled and sealed. Very annoying. Except this good system. On average, my 250 ppm water becomes about 28 ppm. This is probably due to the addition of minerals to the filters. Didn't test directly for RO. I can't check the pH as I don't have a tester and it doesn't come with it so I have to trust it.

Pros
  • COMPLETE DIGITAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND FREE PPM METER: Every Nu Aqua Platinum Series reverse osmosis system also comes with a simple instruction manual to show you just how easy it is to install and run your new water filter . You also get a free bonus PPM meter to check water quality with.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
