I had a fall 6 years ago. They went around all sorts of doctors, MRI X-rays, etc. They found nothing. My problem area is between the right shoulder/shoulder blade and the thoracic spine. I've searched YouTube like crazy (and like I said, doctors of all kinds) and found that there are NO doctors dealing with fascial scars, which are the most likely culprits for chronic post-traumatic pain. It gives me daily headaches and limited range of motion. I stumbled upon the answer by accident. My physical therapist broke my arm and was unable to massage or "work" the area for me. So he pulled out his Graston tools, another name for this product. (Graston is stainless steel and much more expensive for the same results, about $2000 and therapist courses/certification). At first he scratched the spot lightly and slowly to find problem areas. Then he got stronger and stronger. After I left I was 100% pain free for a month and a half! yes it's back But at this moment I would give all my money to someone to ease the daily pain. Now I go to therapy once a week and that's all we do. Now I have the problem well under control and after watching some YouTube videos of the pros doing it you can ask a family member to do it for you. Disclaimer: This can be dangerous if someone doesn't know what they are doing. But I've heard that people with carpal tunnel etc. can work on themselves. I should also note that the area used by these tools, if done correctly, should break up the capillaries (leave patches of red dots) and leave a lot of redness that will go away in a day or two. Broken veins/blemishes are the areas that need to be treated the most. Except for physical therapists and some chiropractors, there are no doctors who deal with muscle and fascial pain! I've tried several GPs/orthopaedists/neurologists/chiropractors etc. They were all clueless. They all wanted to increase my bill with unnecessary MRIs, X-rays, EMGs, etc. This product works, make sure you get lotion, you can't use these tools without a large supply of healing lotions. I suggest something with menthol and cannabinoid oils.
