I'm a fan of Black & Decker as their products are usually very decent but not expensive. This product almost met my expectations. He seems very strong. In other words, I think if I dropped it (I won't try), it might take it. Rubberized sides make it easier to grip. The laser beam is powerful enough to get the job done, but I wish it was a little more powerful. I just assure you it's great for any medium job. The only problem I had was the wall mount. While there are MANY methods of wall mounting (eg, wood screw, built-in drywall stud, 3M command bars), built-in drywall studs are very fragile. I was able to use it once. On the second attempt to hang it, the needle bent and broke. So a little helpful tip: be gentle and don't force it. The good news is that you can buy replacement parts, but you can't just buy a pen. The entire wall mount costs about $8 through Black & Decker. Although this pin is broken, I have two other hanging options for it, so I won't be buying a replacement just yet. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone looking to save a few bucks and just need a laser level for simple DIY projects like hanging pictures or shelving.
