I didn't use the tools provided and failed. I tried to apply the screen protector by hand but it didn't land properly. When I tried to get it off the screen I cracked it. The glue is strong. You will be given two small stickers to stick on the outside of the protector so you can hold it and guide the mount all the way to the screen. The fingers are too fat to get close enough.
