These are heated suction cups
These are generally good suction cups. The manufacturer cheated by adding a film of sticky adhesive that won't stain when you tear it off. If it really was 100% suction, the lack of air alone would be enough to keep it going. I don't know what to do with this, but for me it served it's purpose.
