Keeps fresh but not for hard water
Helps well but does not replace cleaning. It doesn't eliminate or alter hard water build-up, but it does keep the bowl fresh between cleanings, so it's half the battle. I use it in the oldest toilet which I can't find the best cleaner for because it works differently, but it's enough to make the bathroom feel fresher between weekly cleanings. If you have hard water rings this doesn't help so don't expect it.
