Review on 2-Pack Comic Book Frames with Acid-Free Matting, 98% UV Polycarbonate Protection - Black Frame and Black Mat by Jared Winebrenner

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Absolute junk of photo albums, frames and accessories

I am very surprised at how awful these frames are considering they have an average 4.5 star rating. The first thing I noticed when I took out one of the boxes was that two of the four corners were peeling off and falling apart. The frame itself is also made of cheap flexible plastic. I wouldn't turn down plastic if the frame was at least solid, but this is clearly violated by the design or assembly. To see how things were going, I flipped it over and started peeling off the backing. The clips barely reached the frame from the inside, and the board itched itself out to pop out. I pressed the comic down and placed it in a bag on a double mat. It was a decent and predictable process until the frame had to be assembled. The rear tried its best to stay out of frame and the clips were of little use, popping up randomly. Also, keeping the mats straight so the comic doesn't look askew was a waste of time. When everything was assembled, the final product looked normal when I blinked hard. However, the frame was unbent at two corners when I held it straight. I took the second frame out of the box and it seemed to be suffering from the same issues. I'm glad I only bought one pack to test as I was hoping to end up covering the wall with it. But now the recordings are coming back.
